DIRECTOR OF PROCUREMENT AND LOGISTICS – SOLAR
The Director of Procurement and Logistics will have autonomy to lead all activities related to materials procurement, production scheduling, product logistics and inventory management as well as implement a comprehensive supply chain management program.
This position reports to the COO.

Description of Responsibilities:
- Responsible for cost-effective sourcing of materials and services, material planning and ordering, inventory management, and manufacturing process flow and materials shipment for the company.
- Manage company logistics to achieve on time delivery goals.
- Lead and drive cost reduction initiatives and plans.
- Provide cross-functional materials and procurement support for new product introduction and engineering changes.
- Identify and develop suppliers in the U.S. as well as low cost regions.
- Recommend and implement changes to improve productivity and reduce costs while maintaining standards.
- Manage the logistical flow of all material between the company, suppliers, and the customer/sites including shipping and receiving.
- Build & maintain relationships with vendors.

Specific Skills and Experience Desired:
- Excellent project management and negotiation skills.
- Familiar with materials for the PV industry; mainly materials for the structure and trackers.
- Experience in sourcing materials in low cost regions like China, India and others.
- Strong product knowledge, Bill of Materials, and product structuring.
- Knowledge of Material Requirements Planning (MRP).
- Able to exhibit tendencies, through past example, of a self-starter type personality who is action oriented. RE: 1). Able to be proactive and demonstrate readiness and ability to initiate action, 2). Able to take action beyond what is required and volunteers to take on new assignments. 3). - Good Project Management, negotiation, and people skills are a must.
Qualifications:
- 10 + years of experience in the Materials/Procurement function at the leadership level (Senior Manager or Director preferred) in a technology company; preferably in the PV industry.
- Must have at least 3 years of experience in the PV industry, mainly with metal/structure suppliers and outsourcing of electronic assemblies in China or other low cost regions.
- Must have experience as a Materials Manager or Supply Chain Manager for the PV industry and have low cost sourcing experience in PV.
- Must have been responsible for scheduling, planning, forecasting, and working with supply chain on matters of logistics, delivery, and demand planning.
- Experience with the management of the purchasing & inventory budgets to reduce / minimize the costs of all common materials & services.
- Must have experience working with senior management to understand the role of procurement within the manufacturing and product development arenas from senior management’s perspective.
- Excellent project management and negotiation skills.
- Strong product knowledge and understanding of supplier’s capabilities.
- Experience with Material Requirements Planning (MRP).

Senior DC Electrical Engineer - solar
You will be part of the Project Engineering Team responsible for designing and optimizing ground mounted utility‐scale photovoltaic (PV) power plants capable of being installed, operated, and maintained at breakthrough cost levels.
Description of Responsibilities:
- Provide electrical engineering leadership in the DC Collection System and Inverter design of utility‐scale solar power plant projects including overall project design ownership, equipment specification, code compliance, technical research, and preparation of complete permit submittal packages.
- Create and redline AutoCAD drawings of PV systems including single‐line and three‐line electrical diagrams.
- In‐depth knowledge of PV system components and sizing methods including their specifications, cost, efficiency, code compliance, performance, and reliability.
- In‐depth knowledge of safety features, grounding, disconnects, SCADA, system testing, and troubleshooting.
- Work directly with PV module, inverter, and other component manufacturers, as well as our client’s own Construction Team and their subcontractors in the field.
- Ability to creatively consider cost reduction ideas and strategies.
- Well‐versed in all applicable codes. (NEC, UL, NESC, CAS, IEEE, etc.)
- Able to trade and balance efficiency vs. output vs. cost to optimize system.
- Preparation of permit submittal packages, bills of material, operational and maintenance procedures, safety plans, and commissioning plans.
- Capable of leading subcontractors, negotiating with Authorities Having Jurisdiction (AHJ’s), defending system designs to outside parties who may have little PV system knowledge.
- Contribute to continued learning both personally and at the team level regarding overall system optimization and ongoing cost reduction efforts.
Qualifications:
- BSEE w/ emphasis in power systems engineering, MS a plus, from an accredited university.
- PE license a plus, or ability to secure license within 12 months.
- At least five (5) years in utility‐scale PV system design.
- Must demonstrate strong engineering, design, and communication skills, and an ability to work in a dynamic team environment to think outside the box and solve traditional problems in new ways.
- Ability to navigate within AutoCAD.
- Must be self‐motivated, extremely thorough, have excellent organizational skills and professional integrity.
- Must be able to balance multiple projects while working under tight deadlines.

The Associate Director of Structured Finance will be a key member of our client’s Finance team and be responsible for securing project finance capital, deal structuring, managing financial deal closing/post closing issues. This position involves a high degree of self-direction in a fast moving environment.
Specific Responsibilities:
- Manage all aspects of deal structuring, financial deal negotiation and closing.
- Manage construction draws and portfolio management.
- Work with development team on PPA negotiation and ensure PPA terms are consistent with preferred project finance structures.
- Maintain ongoing relationships with cross section of capital providers and ensure project finance structures are executable in current market.

Qualifications:

HEAD OF PROJECT FINANCE - SOLAR
Our client is seeking a Head of Project Finance who will be a key member of the team and will manage all aspects of project financing of company deal flow of solar PV projects. Key member of the team in high profile role with opportunity to grow.
Specific Responsibilities:
- Responsibility includes entire North American territory's Project Finance.
- Work with outside advisors to ensure accuracy, robustness and usability of company project pro forma for calculating project returns and NPV based on (a) Project unlevered, (b) Partnership Flip and (c) Sale Lease Back structures.
- Work with development and engineering teams to ensure accurate and defensible assumptions made for capex (incl. sales taxes etc.), opex (incl. property taxes etc.) and annual production.
- Identify project investors (off-takers) within the equity fund and banking communities.
- Ensure project finance community is aware of company's deal flow by building relationships with key players and leveraging existing relationships.
- Maintain ongoing relationships with cross section of capital providers and ensure project finance structures are executable in current market. Based on project details, market conditions, project's commercial framework and company's business plan objectives; select the optimal project finance structure (partnership versus sale lease back).
- Work with development team on PPA negotiation and ensure PPA terms are consistent with preferred project finance structure.

HEAD OF PROJECT DEVELOPMENT - SOLAR
Our client is seeking an experienced professional in the electrical generation sector who will lead project development efforts in North America. This individual will manage development of assigned project assets through the complete development cycle to financial close and must be able to manage the development activities of multiple projects simultaneously.
Specific Responsibilities:
- Determine project goals, schedule and budget based on input from across the company covering development requirements, company objectives, market dynamics, construction timing and resource requirements.
- Perform project risk assessment as part of the planning function; develop project risk profile to manage risk along with budget and schedule.
- Lead functional teams and steering committee to execute project objectives within approved schedule and budget. Activities will include land acquisition, community relations, permitting, environmental studies, solar resource assessment, project design and engineering, transmission and interconnection rights, economic models and valuation, off take arrangements, market assessment, project financing, and public relations.
- Coordinate with external departments, including Construction, Engineering, Services, Procurement, Manufacturing, Transportation, Planning, Accounting, Finance and Commercial Operations.
- Lead project presentations to management and others; lead requests for project/budget approvals; support transaction approval requests in coordination with deal team.
- Support preparation of bid packages for response to requests for proposals.
- Manage process of gathering inputs and defining specifications for project financial models used to establish power pricing and project value. "Own" input parameters and associated assumptions to project economic assessment.
- Work with Regional Development Leaders, Sales and Finance staff on commercial transactions from PPA's, joint ventures, project sales, equity investments and other commercial arrangements. Represent project objectives within transaction deal teams.
- Manage due diligence process with project customers to facilitate closing on project assets; work with Development team, outside consultants and legal support to organize and deliver complete project assets.
- Transition project into construction phase with coordination of schedules, budgets, management approval and completion of development assets.
- Work with Development management to prioritize projects across entire portfolio.
Qualifications:
- 5 to 10 years of experience in development/project management of energy related projects.
